How to add featured slides

Featured slides are the images that appear on the front page of the church website. If more than one featured slide is published at a time, the slides will rotate through.

Uploading a new image to a slide:

  1. Crop the slide to the desired dimensions (960×400). If the image is of a different size, the website will resize it, and cut off any portions that are outside those dimensions
  2. Login by going to and entering your credentials
  3. Select Media –> Slide from the left sidebar
  4. Select “Add Slide” from the top of the page
  5. Fill out desired fields (all the text fields are optional)
  6. On the right hand side (at the bottom), select “Set Featured Image”
  7. Select an image from the media library, or upload a new one by using the appropriate tab
  8. Click: “Set Featured image”
  9. Click: Publish

To remove a slide from Published status

  1. After logging in, go to Media –> Slide
  2. Click on the Published link
  3. Select the slide you wish to de-publish
  4. Choose edit or “Quick edit”
  5. Mark the slide as draft and update.
